Barn Quilts of Bracken County
Welcome to our  website!  Barn quilts are symbols of the strong farming heritage that is prevelant throughout the state of Kentucky.  They honor the close knit family ties, life on the farm as well as the craft of quiltmaking.  These colorful murals are often painted by family members of the barn owners or other members of the community and are presented as gifts.  A wonderful way to discover beautiful Bracken County is to travel our  scenic backroads and follow our  Barn Quilt trail map.  We hope that this tour will lead you on an adventurous path along the ridgetops and through the hollows, past historic landmarks and unique agribusinesses.  We are sure you'll enjoy it.
Happy Travels!
