Quilter's Snowflake
Travelling south on KY 19 towards Brooksville, just past the community we call Chatham , is a nice barn quilt on a large tobacco barn (on the right -hand side).   The barn is owned by Ina McCord.   The quilt was a surprise present given to Ina  by her daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Tony Denniston, from Paris, Kentucky.  Kay and Tony made the quilt and installed it on the barn with the help of other McCord family members.  Ina is an avid quilter and is part of a larger group of very talented quilters here in Bracken County.
From this point go south on KY 19 towards Brooksville.  At the stop sign a right turn takes you to the town of Brooksville, while a left turn takes you towards Germantown.  You will pass Lavender Hills of Kentucky which a really cool farm that specializes in growing lavender as well as producing lavender products.  You'll not forget the aroma of this farm; it is well worth the trip.  Call Judy at 606-735-3355 or visit them on the web at www.lavenderhillsofkentucky.com
