Rolling Star Quilt
Turning left off of KY 19 onto 875, you will be on a road we call Asbury Road; at 3566,  you will see this very colorful quilt block on a barn owned by Karen and Fred Sweeney.
Karen writes, " Our barn quilt brings back many childhood memories.  My grandmother, Ina Feagan, quilted for many people in this area of Kentucky.  In fact, quilting became the sole income during her later years of life.  She carefully chose each quilt piece from feed sacks, scraps from dresses, and yards of beautiful fabrics.  I remember her sitting for weeks working with one quilt stretched across her living room.  Her scissors, thimble, spools of thread, straight edge and marking pencil were never far from her busy fingers.  My Grandma Feagan, who also lived on Asbury Road, would have enjoyed seeing the beautiful creations of her craft being displayed on the barns of Bracken County.  Ina Feagan 1891-1982."
