Disaster Rehearsal

LWARS participated in a state wide disaster drill in the summer of 2005.  Club members were station around Hillsboro at strategic locations with net control working from the Sherriff's Mobile E.O.C .   LWARS provided HF, VHF, and UHF communications to assist the Sherriff's dept.  with keeping track of activities around the state.  

From this small pickup communications is possible through local amateur repeaters, and direct communications with other amateur radio stations around the state and across the nation.
