Your Quarter's Worth
|While no quarters are required, it is hoped you will visit often and make this your "quarters" away from home. Come on "inn", if you please. This site will be updated often, so bookmark it and check back from time to time.|
"And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.
"But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
"Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.
"And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them." (Mark 10: 13-16.)
|Irony has a way humbling a person:
I've gone from being a multi-award-winning newspaper photographer and
writer during my four years as Community (Assistant) Editor of a
small-town daily newspaper, to traveling nearly 180 miles every night delivering
newspapers for a large daily. Aside from the dangers of hitting deer,
skunks, foxes, possums, raccoons, coyotes, bobcats, wild bunnies and frogs
(I've hit them all but the bobcat and coyote), I enjoy the freedom it
I now live in the country, which provides its own freedoms: freedom from traffic jams, traffic lights, sirens and other city noise, smog, and not having to worry about what the neighbors think about the leaves on my lawn or how long my grass is. Country life offers the freedom to breath fresh air, to see the stars in all their glory at night, to grow as much garden as we've time and energy to do, to dig a well, to put up a windmill, to have the chance to be independent from the world.
Life is great, isn't it?
