Riding Steer Events

This page is a collection of pictures taken from various events where we have taken our steers.  Sometimes they are parades, other times we have used them as promotional tools to introduce people to Texas Longhorns.  Just click on one of the images to load a larger version of the same picture.  Be patient, they are about 1MB each.

Bandera, 2004

We were invited to bring our steers down to Bandera for their Celebrate Bandera Days parade.  We were treated very well during that weekend.  They put us up at the Silver Spur Guest Ranch for the weekend, and we were treated like royalty.  The folks along the parade route were visibly impressed, and later when they came by the park to visit us we met received many favorable comments.  Some of the riders that attended this function with us brought along pictures of animals they had available for private treaty sale and actually sold some of them.  Most of us made excellent contacts and had several prospects to approach for sales at a later date.  We enjoyed ourselves there, and we were invited back for their 2005 celebration.  Pictures from this years visit will be posted as I get more time.

Glen Rose 4th of July Parade, 2005

This years fourth of July parade in Glen Rose was a blast.  The riding steers actually outnumbered the horses this time.  The weather started out comfortably enough, being surprisingly cool for a July morning.  The steers all co-operated and everyone present had a great time.  We look forward to participating in this parade again next year.
