*****NEWSFLASH***** BBOC II Platinum Edition and Clubby II Debut on Rosie Today! The Beanie Babies Official Club II Platinum Edition and Clubby II, the exclusive BBOC Beanie debut today on the Rosie O' Donnell show! The much anticipated launch will showcase the Platinum edition of the BBOC as Beanie fans across the country will view the BBOC Kit II and Clubby II for the very first time!

... Variations are being reported on Scat and Nibbler when it comes to their mouth. One version on Scat has the pink thread in a "V" pointing toward the chin with one stitch in the center. The other has the "V" pointing toward the nose with no stitch in the center of the "V." So it seems like some of them look like they're smiling; others like they're frowning.

... Many sites have reported a variation change in Goochy. When the jellyfish first came out, its colors were pastel green, blue, purple and yellow. But February shipments contain a brighter Goochy, with predominantly red, yellow and orange colors. It now looks similar to a Ty-dye Peace or Rainbow. The material still has its special "sheen."

... For the first time, Ty Inc. is sponsoring its own sports promotion. The company is honoring the last regular-season baseball game of the 20th century, which is at Wrigley Field in Chicago. Ty will present the Millenium bear and a special commemorative sports card before the game between the Chicago Cubs and the Pittsburgh Pirates on Sept. 26. The Beanie and card will be given to 40,000 fans, to both children and adults. The only other time adults have been included has been at the All-Star Game last year, which featured Glory.

... Cyrk, the company that brought us Clubby (finally), has unveiled new Beanie Babies Official Club merchandise. The Platinum kits will have some Series 2 collector cards, a pocket checklist, a membership certificate, newsletter, a new exclusive Beanie Baby bear and a special collector's coin. The kit is supposed to retail for $20 and be available around May.

... Some folks are talking about a second-generation hang tag on Clubby, the BBOC bear. On the back of the hang tag is the word, "BEANIES," in red. The number "02" or "03" also appears on its tush tag. Photo scans of the change are on several Web sites. Also it's been reported that the Clubbys that are part of the same-day redemption promotions also have the second-generation tags.!

... Word from several friends have concluded the fact that Millennium's new tush tag now reads "Millennium" with two "N's" although the hang tag still remains the same. Interesting! (Thanks especially to "Joanne" for the info!)

... Well, well, well - another (somewhat unexpected) pre-retirement announcement by Ty ... The current list includes the following - BEANIE BABIES: Batty, Chip, Hissy, Iggy, Gobbles, Mel, Nanook, Pouch, Pounce, Prance, Plugly, Rainbow, Smoochy, Spunky, Stretch, Strut; BEANIE BUDDY: Beak; and ATTIC TREASURES: Skylar, Casanova. All listed are expected to retire by Ty on March 31st.
