June 30th

... Trade Show Ends in Dallas
The Trade Show in Dallas ended yesterday. The next stop is Atlanta, Georgia - beginning July 10th through the 14th. Should be interesting to see what happens next!

June 29th

... Millinnium's New Look
Now that Millinnium's tags are corrected, yet another change - sporting a new ribbon! Beanie Mom is reporting that Millennium has been shipped with a new style ribbon around its neck. The new ribbon is said to be much softer, ribbed, more of the pinkish-gold color with gold edges. A scan of the new ribbon and the original one can be found on the Beanie Mom web site. ... "Only 'Tyme' Will Tell"

The following letter has hit the Ty retailers in Canada. Similar letters are expected to be sent to Ty accounts in the U.S. sometime this week. The letters seem to indicate that the plush line is indeed ending, as plush collectors have speculated. Sad news for Plush fans.. but Attic and Beanie Fans have something new on the horizon.

Dear Madam or Sir:

We are currently working in our accounts to bring you special surprises to your July and August shipments.

We are working very efficiently with the BBOC to bring you the Clubby 2 Newsletter and two other exciting offers. Please note that some products that you have ordered will be cancelled due to a "wrap-up" of our plush collection. You will also be receiving in early September a special new and exciting display for your Attic Treasures, Beanie Buddies, and Beanie Babies products.

Please note that we will notify you as soon as possible to tell you what our new products in most of our categories will be. Please Post this letter in your store front and remember only TYME will tell what our next surprise is. "

June 28th

... New Beanies - Trade Show Update!
The ToyBox reports the following:
"The beanies will only be shipped ONE TIME! That is all we [Ty Dealers] can order. They should be on our doorsteps in three weeks. 48 beanies, 12 buddies, and 20 of Spangle Pillow Pal. And all the reps said that these are the ONLY time we will be able to order. The series III cards are pretty cool also. Very bright and lots of colors and eccentric designs. Nothing like the old cards. Reps were also saying that there will be new beanies within the next two months."

"What this means is a Ty dealer must attend one of the summer trade shows to order these special beanies. Ty dealers cannot order these beanies like normal (via telephone, fax, local rep). They MUST attend a trade show."

... In case you are curious, and to the readers that have inquired as to what the new releases really look like........no cameras were allowed at the TradeShow to take pics of them. Ty has also informed several Beanie websites that "Posting unauthorized photographs of our products on a website would constitute copyright infringement. We ask that you do not show pictures of our new releases at this time."

June 26th

... Dallas Trade Show
Three new Beanie Babies were unveiled at the Trade Show...Lips, Flitter, and Birthday Bear; Two Beanie Buddies - Inch and Schweetheart; and One Pillow Pal - Spangle.

Lips, the fish - birthdate 3/15 (orange fish w/ purple polka dots & tie dyed lips)

POEM:
Did you ever see a fish like me?
I'm the most colorful in the sea.
Travelling with friends in a school
Swimming all day is really cool.

Flitter, the butterfly - birthdate 6/2 (tie-dyed butterfly)

I did not know what I was to be
Created in fuzz, it was hard to see.
Now a butterfly, what a beautiful sight
On silken wings, I take flight.

Birthday bear - no specified birthdate (tie dyed bear with a pin similar to what Clubby I had)

This birthday bear was made for you
Hope your wishes and dreams come true.
Be happy today and tomorrow too
Lets all celebrate the whole year through!

Note: Ty retailers can order 48 of these Beanies at these trade shows only at this time for prompt shipment.

Ty retailers can order 12 of each of Buddy at summer trade shows. They can order 20 of the Pillow Pals as well.

... New Products To Be Unveiled by Ty
As mentioned earlier, tomorrow should be a big day for Beanie news, as Ty is to unveil new products at the first Trade show in Dallas. The rumors include new Buddies and Beanies. (Perhaps the rumored Peace Buddy and possibly a new bear - wouldn't a jade bear be nice?) As soon as info is available, I'll definitely post it here ! So, stay tuned........

Seems that counterfeit Garcias are showing up on Ebay. Beanie Mom has some great detailed pics for you to view - Check out the Counterfeit Garcia graphics - they take a bit to load but worth checking out.

June 24th

... Beanie Buddies and Beyond
As you may be aware, Ty Inc. had recently posted a newsflash regarding an upcoming Show for retailers only - introducing a NEW Ty product. The newsflash was only up for a short time, and was removed. Hopefully, we shall receive information within the next couple of days with more information concerning the "new product". (Supposedly it will only be available to retailers who attend the Show, with the first one being held in Dallas, Texas). Stay tuned......it could be EXCITING !!!

June 21st

... New Ordering Procedures
Beanie Babies and Beanie Buddies may be ordered on the 1st of every month. Attic Treasures and Pillow Pals can be ordered beginning the 14th of each month. Cats/Dogs/Country, etc in the Plush line can be ordered at any time during the month. Orders will be cancelled 30 days from the entry date if the product has not been shipped. Only one order per category is allowed during the 30 day period.
Series 3 Trading cards are available for order with an expected ship date of August. This ship date is 30 days later than previously announced.

... Info from Beanies-UK !
Update: Beanies UK has received info from a reliable source concerning the rumored Britannia retirement, more info on "Jock" the Scottish bear, Germania IS reportedly on UK order forms, Osito is NOT, and Clubby II is expected to hit UK shops next month. ... Series III Ty Trading Cards
BeanieTradingCards.com reports that an unnamed Cyrk Representative gave details on the new Series III cards. The way the cards are packaged will be similar to the Series I and II cards with 24 packs to a box and 6 boxes to a case. However, the Series III cards will introduce 157 new cards and are designed with a whole new look and different card categories. Here is a preview of the categories and the odds of getting these new cards:
- Classic Commons 1-24
- Common Cards (1 new common card in each pack for the new beanies that were not yet produced in previous Common cards)
- Artist Proof - (foil cards) 1-1
- Wild Cards 1 - 3
- Beanies and Buddies 1-12
- Retired 1 - 72
- Birthday 1 - 5
- Beanie Sticker cards (1 in each pack)

... BeanieWorld.com Domain Name Sells on Ebay
As you are probably aware, the BeanieWorld Magazine has a new name - Bean Bag World Magazine, with the new location (very soon) to be at www.beanbagworld.net. The BeanieWorld.com domain name recently sold on Ebay for over $5,000! Ms. Janie has kindly posted the BeanieWorld.com - Ebay listing if you wish to take a look!

Several sources are reporting that Osito is a USA Exclusive!

June 12th

... Clubby II Info
Several people have written me, asking about the cards available in the Clubby II kit. After checking with several reliable sources, there are supposedly a total of 15 cards: Bessie, Quackers, Bronty, Steg, Peanut, Goldie, Princess, Millenium (misspelled), Signature Bear, Jabber, Echo, Legs, Clubby, Beak, and Bronty. Regarding the coins, to the best of my knowledge, there are 9 total (one available per kit): Legs, Chocolate, Cubbie, Spot, Splash, Squealer, Pinchers, Flash, and Patti.

Update 1: The link listed below, from the Ty Website, was only up for a short time. Perhaps Ty has had it removed for clarification reasons as it caused some confusion. Guess we shall wait and see !

The Ty® website states today: "Just when you thought things couldn't get any more exciting ­ Ty's done it again! We are very excited to announce that starting June 26, 1999, at the Dallas gift Show, we will be unveiling an exclusive product introduction that includes Beanie Babies®, Beanie Buddies®, and beyond! These new exclusive products are only available to be purchased by Ty retailers' visiting the Ty booth at the shows. (Update: 6/14 - At the request of Ty, the link has been removed).

June 10th

... Ty Site Additions/Changes
Ty has added new info on the site - Check out Y2K Compliance. Also, check out the current and retired lists - Ty Inc. - Current Beanie Babies and Ty, Inc. - Retired Beanie Babies. (Note: There are 56 current Beanie Babies now!)

June 8th

... Is Amber, the Ty Info Beanie, hinting?
Are we picking up hints in Ambers daily diary? There have been references to horses, grasshoppers, and dinosaurs! As in the past, some have proven to be hints while others have not. I personally LOVE the idea of a Grasshopper Beanie Baby!!! ... the name COULD BE "Hopper" :)

June 4th

... Just got back from breakfast - 8:00. Where else? McD's! Picked up TBB Glory and Britannia - and have to go back at lunch, when they expect to already be on Maple and Erin.
Update: I rode over to McD to check out the status at 10:00. They were already on Maple and Erin....and the Promo is supposed to last for how long??? Hmmm
(That equals a full set now - results from a BUSY morning - but everybody's happy. Whew!!!)

Beanie World reports - "Retailers can now order BBOC Series III Beanie Babies Official Collector Cards which will ship in July. Major price reductions on many Ty products!!! Prices slashed by 50% on Display cases, Millennium Calendars and Card Guide books."

June 2nd

... Hot UK News !!!
Ty is currently seeking planning permission in the UK to build a new 100,000 Square foot warehouse (yes I have got the right amount of '0'). The drivers in the UK are working round the clock back and forth from the docks with shipments of Beanies, trying to keep up with the demand.

... Retirement Time or Not?
RUMOR! A source informs us that Halo, Prickles, Millennium, Ty Signature Bear, Roam, Rocket, Loosy, Kuku, Jabber, Maple, and Brittania will retire. The following Beanie Buddies will also retire: Snort, Cranberry Teddy, Smoochy, Rover, Peanut, Hippity, Quackers, and Jake. Remember, this is a rumor and should be treated as a rumor!!

... Germania Availability - Update!!!
