NOW HEAR THIS!

I am greatly embarrassed to tell you I have managed to lose all the emails I have accumulated since the last reunion. I lost a hard drive and had 2 motherboard changes and in the interim, all emails have disappeared and I cannot find them, and have been fiddling with this since December. Therefore all the wonderful news that you all sent is in the twilight zone somewhere, probably never to be recovered. So I guess the word is “send it again” and I will do better, I promise. Some Folks may get both email and snail mail, if so bear with me since I am figuring out exactly how much of what I lost.

Mildred Treis will not be at the reunion, she will be visiting son, Chief Joel, USN, in Japan.

Debra Garrett-Carson sends that Erica finished her junior year in high school and she, Debra, is getting married in January 2005. She and Erica are headed for Italy for 2 weeks as you read this. Dove la stanza di banyo?

SICK CALL

Jim Choomack took a fall in April and seriously injured his back. After surgery he is having slow and difficult recovery. He says “Many of my parts just don’t work very well.” He is in physical therapy. REUNION NEWS

21 June 2003 was the date of the last reunion. It was held at Frozen Head State Park with Alan Bradshaw the master arranger and, since I was not there, I assume he had lots of help. Since it was an “off-year” reunion, attendance was not as great as usual. Upcoming Reunion

This is a “major” reunion so where should be lots of folks there. This year it is 26 and 27 June. Gather on Saturday morning at the Wartburg Presbyterian Church which is in the basement of the Wartburg Public Library. For first time attendees, it is easy to find. I believe it is the only brick building 1 block south of the main street. Gary Scott tells me there will be alight lunch there with heavy eating at Alan Bradshaw’s house later in the evening. Bring lots of pictures and plan to talk a lot. You should also plan to attend church in Lansing on Sunday morning, which is always followed by a super lunch in the meeting rooms across the street. GENEALOGY

Gary Scott prepared a CD after the last reunion that contained photos, attendees, a Scott genealogical data base and a survey hand-drawn by Zachary Taylor Scott, his great-grandfather. The interesting part was the objects used to define property lines. Among them were a fallen pine, a stump, a stone by an oak and a stone on the ridge. The genealogical data base was several years old. I’m sure he will produce another and it will contain the latest Scott data that I have.
