An RT-11 version of Kermit exists that can be used to transfer data to/from RT-11 boxes. You can get it here.

NOTE -- You must have an LTC (60 Hz line time clock) in order for this version of Kermit to run.

Getting Kermit onto the PDP-11 was not easy. I was unable to format a floppy to work on both a PC and RT-11 (see PUTR ftp site anyhow, maybe it will work for you). Maybe all the spare floppy drives were trash, or maybe it was something else. In the end I hexified (hexify.cpp) the Kermit-11 binary, and used PC Kermit to squirt it into the console port of RT-11, which was doing a COPY TT: KERMIT.HEX. You must tell PC Kermit to pause after every line to give RT-11 time to breath. If you do this, read it back to the PC and compare, to make sure you got it across right. Then I wrote DEHEX.MAC on the RT-11 system using KED to convert the hex file to KRT.SAV.
