Congratulations to John Campbell who was the winner of the Easter “Jelly Bean Contest”. He received a Chateau Elan gift certificate for “Breakfast for Two”.
A Congregational Meeting will be held next Sunday, April 13th, for the purpose of nominating and electing two Elders for the Class of 2010.
The Ladies Bible Study will meet this Wednesday, at 10:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. We will continue our study on Sarah. All ladies are welcome to attend.
The Wacky Pack Kids will be going to Tribble Mill Park (in Lawrenceville) this Saturday, April 12th, for a cookout and afternoon at the park. We will meet at the church at 2:15 p.m. to leave together. A sign-up sheet is located on the Narthex table.
The Presbyterian Women will meet on Monday, April 14th at 10 a.m. at the home of Betty Ann Russell, 303 Matthews School Rd. If you would like a ride, meet at the church at 9:45. We are on page 43 (1 John 5:13-21) of our study book.
We will be having a “Mexican Fiesta” on Sunday, April 27th, immediately after the worship service. Everything will be provided. This is a fundraiser for our mission efforts in Mexico this June. Several members of our church will be part of a team to go. If you would like to help with the food, please contact the church office or Mary Anne Gaw.
The “After Prom Committee” of Winder Barrow High School is seeking volunteers to chaperone students at the “After Prom Event” to be held at WBHS on Saturday evening, May 3rd, from 10:30 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. Volunteers are asked to serve shifts from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. and/or from 2:30 a.m. until 6:00 a.m. (Volunteers who can only serve shorter time periods are also welcome.) A 24-year old University of Georgia graduate (& member of Hartwell First Presbyterian Church) is now teaching here in Winder and is looking for a single apartment or other accommodations. If you can help, please contact our church office.
