I. It must be an intelligent fellowship
     John was telling what he knew.
     Fellowship cannot be base upon feeling.
     To know God is to love God.
     2 Peter 3:18 - Grow in the grace and KNOWLEDGE of the Lord Jesus Christ.
II. It must be a close fellowship
    God is light, in him is NO darkness AT ALL!
    We must run to the light and continue to walk in the light.
    Resist the temptation to live in the flesh (darkness) while claiming salvation.
III. It must be a clean fellowship
    Cannot be saved without admitting that one is a sinner   v. 10
    Must continually confess current  sins.
      Confessing is to say the same thing as God would say about my sin.   
     How would God see your sin?

Christian:
1 Are you growing in knowledge of  our great God?
2. Would you say you are closer to God than a year ago?
3. Does your devotional life and prayer life reflect true fellowship with God?
4. Do you immediately confess your sin?
