Although John Loudermilk's chain of command changed at various times during the war,
for the majority of the war he served as a Captain. He commanded Company D
of the 36th Georgia Infantry Regiment. The 36th Georgia was commanded by Major
Broyles. The regiment was attached to Cumming's Brigade, Stevenson's Division,
Army of Tennessee. |
