Mustard Seed Jewelry
Use any craft
jewelry findings, or forgotten jewelry from your own jewelry box
to dress up with mustard seeds!
Simply dab the mustard seed onto any pendant, earring, or charm
dangle with a dab of clear nail varnish.
Then allow to dry between coats, and keep coating with the clear
nail varnish until the seed is well encased.
Multiple mustard
seeds can be encased in clear gel-caps, tiny bottles
or the smallest clear Christmas tree glass balls
to make your own imaginative jewelry.
(Tip: Remove any coating from inside Christmas tree balls
by pouring bleach into the balls, rinse, and you will have a
clear glass ball.
Adults need to be supervising.)
Here are some old
jewelry pieces from my jewelry box to use as an illustration:
I found plenty of crosses, etc., and glued a round jump-ring
where I wanted the mustard seed to be placed.
Then paint inside the circle with a dab of light blue, (most
people use white)- craft paint from Wal-Mart.
Then pick up a mustard seed with a toothpick and place it in the
center of the ring.
Then I coated it with silicone gel, but clear nail polish would
have probably been better.
Also they may be coated with epoxy (that is probably the best
idea), or glue a tiny plastic dome over the seed.
You can use the domes that any craft dept. smallest size "goo-goo
eyes" roll around in.
Maybe you have more ideas.
