In June of 2008 we were ready to start on our garden and landscaping plans, as well as some other projects for the house and yard. Lori dug up some small garden plots so we could get some stuff planted for this season. A little corn, here... the ground squirrels only got about half of what she planted.
Some onions and snap peas in this one. A few scattered tomato and pepper plants here and there in small, circular plots. Another bed about this size in the upper backyard with more tomato and pepper plants. Various bushes and a couple of trees planted around the property, as well. Everything is doing great, as we've had a very rainy spring and early summer.
In this circular bed, she planted some potatoes, squash and melons. Of course, the squash and melons will spread out of the bed and all over the yard, but that's ok with us. It's a big yard, and we'll have an excuse not to mow some of it.
