This section contains a digital image (taken with a digital camera, not a scanner, hence some distortion) of one of the latest contest certificates I've received to show what can be won with minimal QRP, a CW Contest Calendar, tips for successful QRP contesting, stories of some of my contests, a contesting 'Honor Roll' paying tribute to the great contesters, a results page that shows my recent contest results, awards, and best results from each different contest, and a QRP sprints page that lists links to info on the various weekday QRP sprints that have popped up lately. The results page should give you some idea what to expect from your contesting efforts if you run minimal QRP as I do. Naturally, those QRPers with big antenna farms and better locations will have better results.

IMPORTANT CALENDAR INFORMATION: Since my web site exists to promote the use of CW on the ham bands, my calendar lists only contests that involve CW operation. You'll not find any SSB-only, PSK-only, etc. contests listed here. Also beginning in June 2010, due to the time-consuming effort to keep the calendar as up-to-date as possible, I'm eliminating a good many contests and only listing my personal favorite contests from each month. Each monthly page will continue to be updated at the beginning of the previous month. For example, the info for September contests is updated around August 1st. To view the contests for a certain month, select the month from the left column. Contest names are links to the web sites of the contest or other sources of the rules for that contest. Several contests also have links to past results. All rules and results links will open in a new browser window for your convenience.

Each contest has an indicator of how accurate I believe the info to be. It works as follows:

+++++ The rules mention a specific date and year.

++++= The rules do not mention a year, but I'm almost certain the dates are accurate.

+++== The rules say something like the 3rd Saturday of a month, but no specific year is mentioned.

++=== The rules say something like a 3rd weekend which can be ambiguous when a month starts on a Sunday.

+==== Current posted rules are a few years old, and I am pretty much just guessing at the dates. The contest may not even exist any longer. This category and the contests in this category are due for elimination when the new version of the calendar cycles around to May 2011.

Basically a +++++ rating means you can count on the accuracy, and as the number of +'s decline, so does the accuracy. A +==== deserves further research on your part before making serious plans.

The letters in the QRP column of the calendars have the following meanings:

A - the contest has a QRP entry category
B - the contest has a bonus multiplier or bonus points for QRP operation
C - a QRP contest
N - the contest does nothing for the QRP operator or the info is unknown.
