The pattern for this quilt block was chosen to honor Veterans and the lifetime friendships they made serving their country. Sam McKinney’s mother is a quilter and his father is a veteran. The community helped select this pattern. The team of volunteers under the direction of McKinney included Clark Allison, Rose Branham, Wilma Cordell, Gail Fritz, Marti Knipp, Jim & Nancy K.
