The Casa de Paz y Amor is a small orphanage in Piedras Negras founded a few years ago by Alex  and his wife Rosy. There are 22 children including three babies two of which were born last November. A nursery was created out of a corner of the large room that serves for their eating and living area.  They need a nursery created  for these babies and any others they may receive. In addition, there is no quiet area for the kids to do their homework, when the TV is on and the other kids are playing. The plan is to construct a nursery and a study room at the one end of the large room, which was formerly the sanctuary of a church. I am trying to raise money for the project for the materials and supervision to help  volunteer labor level the floors of the two rooms, construct the walls, sheetrock them and paint, with a door and a large window to keep on eye on the babies or the kids studying. A local contractor, Victor Garcia, is donating the heating and air conditioning for the two rooms.  Hands and Feet will supervise with Moyo leading us. The project will cost about $1800. Any money you can donate would be a help. As soon as the money is raised, we can have the windows made and schedule the work. $400 has already been donated.
