 And you can help! The state expects hundreds of Blanco County residents to need flu shots this season, especially with the swine flu circulating in addition to regular flu. When the shot clinics open here, they'll need non-medical volunteers to help with paperwork and manage the crowds. If you're willing to help, come to one of the training classes: Saturday morning at 9:00 am at New Hope Lutheran Church, 9th and Elm in Blanco; Saturday afternoon at 2:00 pm at First United Methodist Church in Johnson City; and Wednesday night at 6:30 pm at St Luke's Episcopal Church in Cypress Mill.
