Elizabeth Rebecca Wolfe

Francis Marion Herd Born 20 February 1858 in Lee County, Virginia.
Died 18 October 1936 in Middlesboro, Kentucky. 		Elizabeth Rebecca Wolfe Born 5 November 1865 in Tennessee.
Died 30 March 1943 in Middlesboro, Kentucky.
They were married about 1889.

I think it was Ruth who remarked of 'Daddy' Herd that he was a kind gentleman. She said that, one blistering cold day, Verde hurried from out-of-doors into a room where he was; she didn't see him, and she exclaimed, "It's so cold out there I almost froze my bird!". This apparently was pretty coarse speech, and there was considerable gentle laughter from the old man.

Mary (?), Ola, Aggie, 'Mammy' Herd I think this picture shows Mary, Ola, Aggie and 'Mammy' Herd.
