graders. For six years, she taught reading in eighth grade but returned to
elementary the following year. She continues to work in the Salina school

Illustrator: Tori Holgerson
Tori Holgerson is the oldest
granddaughter of Edna Haist. When Delores asked Edna to help with
illustrations for her books, she also suggested having Tori help. From her
young childhood, Tori has had a creative way with materials. She and her
brother would create props for their play. A couple of years ago, Tori
received pastel chalks and paper from a friend for her birthday. It wasn’t
long before she began turning out beautiful original pieces. She is a
Senior at one of the Salina Schools and is also taking Auto Body classes at
Vo-Tech school. She loves the Lord, the USA and really likes cars.
