Book 1: School Days
is the story of Mareena Maree
Mulligan, an abandoned orphan diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. She becomes a
Christian at Summer Camp. Tears from the betrayal of a friend reveal a
secret button on her electric wheelchair, installed by the angels. She
pushes the button, and her chair is transformed into a flying machine. A
window appears in the roof of the orphanage. She flies to heaven and meets
Jesus in a secret garden. Jesus comforts her and discloses to her that she
will receive assignments. Her first assignment is to be a friend, but she
has to discover who that person will be.

Busybodies
Mareena is faced with
disappointment. Cerebral Palsy causes spasms in her legs. Rhizotomy Surgery
keeps her from summer camp. Tears from her disappointment fall on the arm
of her chair. The Star Button appears. The flying wheelchair takes her to
heaven. Mareena discovers her second assignment is very difficult. She will
be faced with two classmates that use her own words against her and bring
shame and humiliation to her. She must learn to forgive. “The Busybodies”
intend to harm her, but God uses it for good to save the life of Mareena
and others.

Book 3: Temptation's Talking
Mareena is a young girl with Cerebral
Palsy who receives assignments from Jesus. Challenges seem overwhelming with
Middle School. School employees cause distress with activities that happen in
everyday living. New friends share their self-destructive actions which burden
her heart. At the orphanage, her best friend, Johnnie, has every sign of
becoming the young “prodigal.” In the midst of the conflict temptation comes
talking. Mareena discovers help from her guardian angel Louwell, when he reveals
her new assignment on the school bus. Mareena has never before seen the
“encampment of angels” which are sent to help her. Her new assignment takes her
to a new level of serving Jesus. The reader will enjoy the new character of
Janelle Johnson and learning more of Mareena's roommate, Shonda McBains. The
secret of Mareena's past will be unveiled in this edition of “The Flying
Wheelchair.”
