TPFC International Rally
Tucson, AZ
May 6-8, 2008
Carey & Vivian were our only members to attend the International rally and reported that it was a good rally but the numbers were down. One good thing came out of it, we noticed that the Bankstons are traveling in a new motor coach.
TPFC 5-State Rally
Lebanon, TN
This was an excellent rally and enjoyed by all, A total of 27 camping units attended with a couple of visitors.
Dow And Company did an outstanding job of keeping us well fed as they served coffee and donuts each morning except one when Judy and the Kentucky group served a sausage gravy and Biscuit breakfast.
There had been a lot of improvements made on the Facilities since our last visit and all were for the better.
They had a Chinese Auction and Raffle items with some very nice gifts and each unit present receive a monetary door prize.
The entertainment was great, Ron Wilson, A Tennessee member and his Jamming group played and sang for a couple of hours or more and you could never find better music. Also Bill & Ann Marcum from Kentucky were there and entertained us and as usual this was enjoyed by all present.
One item of interest: On Thursday evening Pleas Meadows experienced some heart problems and was taken to the emergency room. He returned later that evening and was scheduled to go to Doctor later on for test, I talked with him a few days after arriving home and he said he was doing fine and Doctor didn’t find any other problems.
Alabama did not register for the 5 state for next year and Wendy Swain said he would contact each club soon and set up for the 2009 5 state.
Tony Todaro and Alma attended and gave us a report on next years international to be held in Michigan, just a short distance from Chicago, Il.
(Oyd Has registration forms for 2009 International for those who want to attend)
