Stella's Smonkeaz

This is just a small sample of Smonkeaz. Many more are already seeking adoption, and you know how they breed! Completely hand made, each Smonkeaz is unique. They can be made with single or multiple outfits, or none at all. I've never seen Stella show these little guys to anyone men, women, children ... even the truly jaded, and not have laughs & smiles follow introductions. These little smonkeaz truly are as unique and play inspiring as children! We invite anyone to pick them up and not want to take one home. The little boy Smonkeaz in the "couple" isn't available, he's mine and his name is Jug ... look at the ears! He's had bad luck with girlfriends, they keep finding other homes!

Stella is resisting the urge to 'mass-produce' these time consuming creations. When things get rolling, she is hoping to employ like minded careful crafts-persons and those with disabilities to preserve product integrity. Each Smonkeaz requires basic knitting and crocheting skills with the ability to work from an 'idea' rather than a specific traditional "pattern". Despite diligent and copious notes, Stella finds that each Smonkeaz dictates it's own "pattern".

A portion of the proceeds from Smonkeaz transactions is donated to fight ALS Lou Gehrig's Disease, as a memorial to Gloria Delgado Vega.
