provides years of experience in both the maternity and adoption fields. Our experience is

your questions or comments. Frances Phillips, Director
of Maternity Services
Frances has served Smithlawn in one capacity or another since Smithlawn' s inception, in
1960. She has been our Director of Maternity Services since 1978. Her experience insures
that you will be properly assisted while you make your decisions concerning your future
and the future of your baby. Frances has a Licensed Masters in Social Work (LMSW).
Tony Parnell, Director of Adoption Services
Tony has been with Smithlawn since 1994. He has extensive experience in the adoption field
as well as the social work field in general. He is an Associate Professor and Director of
Field Education in the Department of Social Work at Lubbock Christian University. Tony's
credentials include his ACSW as well as his LMSW-ACP.
Jo Ann Phillips, Assistant Director of
Adoption Services
Jo Ann takes care of the day-in-day-out paperwork and complex requirements that surround
the adoption process. She has been with Smithlawn since 1994. Jo Ann has her BS from
Lubbock Christian University and her M.Ed from Texas Tech.
Joe Phillips, Administrator
Joe has been one of the driving forces behind Smithlawn. He was instrumental in its
original formation as well as serving in various capacities in its early years. Since 1980
he has served as the administrator of Smithlawn, overseeing its daily operations.
