Our MISSION: The 2NCMI is a group of reenactors devoted to promoting an authentic portrayal of soldiers and civilians before and during the American Civil War.

In general, we concentrate our living history/reenactment efforts in the western North Carolina, upper South Carolina, eastern Tennessee and southern Virginia areas. Our Regiment operated in eastern Tennessee, western North Carolina and southern Virginia it the later part of the war, and was made up of men from those areas. We strive to portray the events that took place as accurately as possible and wear both the blue and the gray with equal pride. It is all about our ancestors, their struggles, and their beliefs, which led to the great country that we live in today.

We are currently seeking volunteers to serve in a dismounted company and a mounted company. The mounted company can expect to drill and fight as dismounted as needed. If you are interested in joining our group, please contact us. Come have some fun!
