Provided Identity and Access management and security assessments on IBM/MVS, unix, linux, windows, LDAP, AS400, Tandem, AD, outlook, and other miscellaneous platforms. Designed and implemented many web tools for the provisioning, management of user accounts and Sarbanes Oxley controls/reviews. Provided consultations to project teams and participated in security lead projects and other IT projects.

Senior Security Engineer (September, 2003 to June, 2007)

Provided user management and security assessments on IBM/MVS, unix, novell, windows, LDAP, AS400, Tandem, AD, outlook, louts notes and other miscellaneous platforms. Provide remote system administration for UNIX (HP-UX/AIX) systems that provide healthcare applications in the medical environments (hospitals, clinics, etc.). System Engineer/Analyst (February, 1995 September, 1998)

Produced system requirements used for designing, developing, and implementing computer system applications. Requirements provided new and/or enhanced features for 3 major releases of the Plant Protection System, a UNIX (HPUX) host system with Oracle and GIS data bases for TCP/IP networked SUN workstations and dialup remote PCs using Windows 95. Provided system requirements used for the initial release and two additional major releases for PC software (Visual Basic ) used by over 1500 field technicians for remote access. Provided system requirements for eight active-X/visual basic program modules used to migrate remote PC applications to intranet client/server platform using Microsoft SQL server on Windows NT. Primary responsibilities included analysis of business/users needs, writing specification/requirement documents, data analysis using Oracle SQLplus, prototyping using Visual FoxPro/Visual Basic/C/Pro C, and assisted in planning and system design. Also designed and supported engineering groups HTML pages on intranet.

Accomplishments: Promoted from "Technical Staff" to "Senior Technical Staff" as a result of sustained "role model" performance. Assumed role of two head counts for system engineer/analyst and produced all requirement documents ahead of schedule that resulted in timely releases for software. Developed "Request for Proposal" document and headed team to research and identify GIS software replacement for mission critical nationwide system.

System Developer (December, 1990 February, 1995)

Designed and programmed work management FoxPro application software used by over 1500 field technicians to access HPUX host for daily work activities. Also developed system test plans and performed system test for quality assurance for scheduled releases. Provided tier two technical assistance for system support.

Accomplishments: Re-designed and programmed replacement for remote system software and host interface that was unreliable and unacceptable by user community. Replacement system with fail safe design received "Salute Award" for customer satisfaction.

Technical Support/System Developer (August, 1988 December, 1990)

Designed and programmed entire system to support excavation notification process for fourteen states. Implemented Novell local area network in two work centers to provide connectivity for client/server applications. Programmed FoxPro applications for client software. Designed and programmed Quick Basic programs for front end interfaces to receive excavation notices from fourteen utility notification centers. Designed and programmed remote PC software (FoxPro/DBase) for work activity distribution to field technicians using Novell remote access server.

Accomplishments: Designed and implemented central system for excavation notification process that eliminated over 60 individual manual centers receiving paper notifications. Resulted in resource savings and produced standardized process that could be measured.

System Support/Engineer (October, 1986 August, 1988)

Provided engineering for the installation and upgrades of system hardware/software for over 100 field locations using HP series 1000 computers. Produced methods and procedure for software and hardware upgrades. Provided technical support for trouble resolutions.
