2008 Rules & Regulations

  1. Annual membership dues are $20.00.

  1. There are two requirements for membership. You must be accepted by a majority vote of members present at a regularly scheduled event and you must pay your membership dues.

  1. Only club members will be allowed to vote on club business. Only club members who qualified for the “Classic” the previous year will be eligible to vote on the schedule and rules for the upcoming year.

  1. There will be no alcoholic beverages or illegal drug use allowed at any club meeting, tournament, or event.

  1. Meetings will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Jenkins, Kentucky. In order to continue use of the Church for meetings, we must respect the premises. There will be no smoking or chewing tobacco allowed inside the church. We also have to clean up after the meeting if we make a mess, so your cooperation will be appreciated.

  1. All tournaments with the exception of the Classic will be buddy tournaments. Individual anglers can participate but they must pay the entire boat entry fee. The creel limit will be 10 bass per boat assuming two anglers and 5 bass for a single angler. Club members can only count 5 fish toward the “Angler of the Year” standings.

  1. There will be no culling at the scales to meet the creel limit. All culling for the creel limit must be done prior to pulling your boat from the water.

  1. When applicable, lake size limits will apply. In the event there is no minimum size limit at a particular lake, a 12” minimum size limit will be established.

  1. Only large mouth, small mouth, or Kentucky (spotted) bass may be weighed at tournaments.

  1. Tournament entry fee with the exception of the Classic will be $40.00 per boat. $20.00 of the entry fee will be used for tournament payback, $10.00 will be used for the tournament big bass prize, and $10.00 will be held by the club and will be used to cover club expenses and to contribute to the winnings for the “Angler of the Year” and the “Classic” winner. Individual anglers can participate but they must pay the entire the entry fee.

  1. Payout for regular club tournaments will be as follows:

10 boats or less - pay 1 place
10 -19 boats - pay 2 places, 60% - 40% split
20 boats or more - pay 3 places, 50% - 30 % - 20% split

  1. You must pay the entry fee prior to blast off to be eligible for a tournament. In the event of an emergency and any anglers are late for the blast off they can still compete by calling a club member to let them know and then pay the entry fee at the weigh in, or by finding a club member and leaving their entry fee with them.

  1. In the event of crowed boat ramps, the tournament director is late, or other similar event, the contestants present and on the water 30 minutes after scheduled tournament start time, may designate a club member to collect and hold entry fees, hold the pre tournament prayer and then blast off.

  1. In the event a tournament is held and no participant weighs in a keeper bass, all winnings for that tournament will be carried forward and become part of the pot for the classic tournament.

  1. Life jackets must be worn while the big motor is running.

  1. All applicable federal and state laws and regulations will be obeyed for all tournament events.

  1. No live bait will be allowed at the regular scheduled tournaments and all fish must caught by rod and reel.

  1. Catch and release is encouraged but is not mandatory. There will be no dead fish penalties; however, any fish brought to the scales that is spoiled beyond safe consumption will not be weighed.

  1. Weigh in starts at the designated time for the end of the tournament. Contestants are required to be within the limits of the no wake zone at the designated tournament end time. No fish will be weighed after the scales have been put away.

  1. “Angler of the Year” will be awarded at the end of the year to the club member with highest total weight for the year. “Big Bass of the Year” will be awarded at the end of the year to the member that weighs in the biggest bass at any club tournament for the year.

  1. You must be a club member to fish the Club Classic; all other tournaments will be open to any one.

  1. To fish the “Classic”, you must be a club member and you must participate in at least 4 tournaments. To “participate” means you must fish in or pre pay your entry fee, in combination, for at least four club tournaments. If you pre pay your entry fee and do not fish a tournament, your entry fee will be applied to the winnings for that tournament.
