Since 1998
Joy Parks was appointed Chief Magistrate by Superior Court Judges of the Enotah Judicial Circuit in 1998. In the following election, she ran for the position and was elected the County’s Chief Magistrate Judge. Judge Parks obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia, a Juris Doctorate degree from Mercer University School of Law, and her LLM from the University of Nottingham England. She has been a practicing attorney in White County since 1993.

Corey Hyde was appointed by Judge Parks as a full-time Magistrate Judge in 2003. Judge Hyde is a graduate of White County High School, and he obtained a degree in Political Science at the University of Georgia. Judge Hyde was the supervising probation officer for a private probation company in White County for approximately five years prior to his appointment to the bench.

Dena Adams was appointed as the Clerk of the Magistrate Court in 1998. She is life-long resident of White County and a faithful employee of our County since 1989. Ms. Adams began her career as an employee of the White County Clerk’s Office, and succeeded the previous Clerk of the Superior Court in 1998.
