Pomme de Terre Lake starts with the Pomme de Terre River.
This photo of the river was taken from the PP Highway Bridge,
about three miles up river from the lake.
****
Ross Island is the last island in the river going north before
entering into the main body of Pomme de Terre Lake.
****
This old road follows the river along the west bank out of Ross Addition.
Before the lake was flooded it was the only road out of Ross Addition.
Today it is still listed as a county road.
****
This is where the river becomes the lake at about the P13 marker.
On the right there is actually a deep water channel through all those stumps.
****
While the stumps are sometimes a hazard, they also hold fish.
Fishing is what this part of the lake is all about.

This 4 lb. bass was taken from under a fallen tree near the PP
Highway Bridge in late June several years ago.
The photo was taken by Lynne, my wife.

After a long day in the boat, this is the way home.
